David J. Davoli
I got my start in the entertainment industry in 1994 working as Alec Baldwin’s assistant. I then decided that I wanted to be involved on the business side of things and went to law school in 1998. I opened my practice in 2003 where I gained invaluable experience working for a floor of solo-practitioners on Madison Avenue. I was actively involved in many areas of the law, including civil and commercial litigation, real estate, trust and estates, sports and entertainment. In 2008 I decided to leave the general practice and focus my energies exclusively on media and entertainment. In n the past 5 years since then I have focused my law practice on becoming an expert in the legal and business affairs aspects of packaging, developing, financing and exploiting film and television projects for the international marketplace. I have represented producers, executive producers, production companies, literary agents, equity investors, actors, writers, directors, publishing companies and authors with regards to their entertainment-related transactions. I regularly travel internationally to attend the various film and television marketplaces, including Berlin, MIPTV, Cannes, MIPCOM, Toronto and AFM.
I am licensed to practice law in New York, California and the United States Supreme Court.
